Choose a Java 16 build

Choose JDK to compile Java code. If you only need a runtime, use More filters to check for JRE packages. An installer and a compressed archive can contain the same Java version but require different installation steps.
Verify your JDK installation
After installing, open a new terminal and check both commands. They should report Java 16. If they differ, check PATH, JAVA_HOME, and your IDE's selected JDK.
