A simpler way to find Java

About GetJDK

GetJDK helps developers find the right Java Development Kit for their projects, with versions, platforms, and distributions in one place.

Why GetJDK exists

Choosing Java often means more than choosing a version number. You also need a build that matches your operating system, processor, and project requirements. With multiple vendors offering JDK builds, it can take time to find the package you need.

GetJDK brings these choices into a searchable directory, alongside practical release and platform guidance. Whether you are setting up a development environment or looking for a specific build for an existing application, the goal is to make that choice easier to understand.

Two ways to find your JDK

Find a JDK for your machine

Use Download to narrow down builds by Java version, operating system, and architecture. Additional filters help you choose a distribution, package type, or Linux libc variant for your environment.

Explore the available builds

Use Explorer to browse the catalog by distribution or Java version, then drill down to an operating system. Compare filenames, architectures, package formats, and sizes before choosing a download.

Where the data comes from

Our package catalog uses metadata from the Foojay Disco API to organize Java distributions into filters and directories. Distribution introductions include links to their official project or vendor resources for further reading.

The catalog reflects the data available when it was last refreshed. For release details, current security updates, and support timelines, consult the distribution's official documentation.

How downloads work

Download links lead to files provided by the JDK vendors. GetJDK does not modify or repackage JDK binaries. When checksum information is available, the download page displays it so you can verify the file you receive.

GetJDK is an independent directory. Product names and logos identify their respective distributions and belong to their owners. Licensing, commercial use, and support terms vary by distribution; review the vendor's terms before choosing a build for your project.
